This was an existing refinery located in North Salt Lake.  Focus Engineering & Surveying assisted the contractor by providing construction staking control points and grade checking stakes for a mass grading of an addition to the the existing plant.  The challenges of this project were working within an existing and functioning oil refinery.  Focus Engineering & Surveying needed to ensure any survey staking adjustments that were necessary due to field adjustments maintained the original intent of the approved infrastructure design.  Focus Engineering & Surveying also had the opportunity to be trained and certified for work on this refinery premises.
